For the last week a fierce bushfire has been raging at Condoblin near the Warrumbungles, destroying homes, livestock and wildlife.
This newspaper report reveals that something similar was happening in 1888, on land owned by the Rouse family, and on Breelong, owned by Mr John Mawbey.
